Haha, okay i'll start with Sunday!
---------------------------
Sunday! Had church today. Was playing Love, Me (Collin Raye (sp?) at home on guitar just for fun. Just learnt it a couple days ago.
Learning point: Sweaty Palms are sucky.
Sweat was dripping off my hand when i was done with the first chorus. And though my fingers went only to 4th fret sweat rolled to the 7th. ==
Okaylah, maybe cause i spent super long playing, like at 1/10th the actual speed or smth. Heh.
---
Church-ed! Decided to urhm wear my planned-to-be grad night shirt for the first time just to try it out, and hope that it shrinks abit when i wash it. Cause after wearing found out it's kinda abit long.
Oh, and concert after that, so decided to be abit more presentable yeah. (:
Concert! Whoa, Isaac brought like, a troop of gals. Haha, one's his piano friend, and the rest are her friends. Didn't talk much, was hoping Isaac could take the chance to.. yaknow. (: Guess he did loosen up, so good job my man!
Haha, he's so gonna kill me if he sees this.
-------
Hmm. Monday!
ARMY OPEN HOUSE.
Today whole day was spent in the company of a tall, muscular (but getting fat), and despotic guy, Kwek. Heh, i don't think him and isaac reads this blog so i'll just offend em at full blast. (:
So saw quite a lot of interesting stuff, did quite alot of activities.. some pics will be Facebooked later i guess.
There was Live Firing of the SAR21, alot alot of exhibitions where we could talk cock to the NSmen there about their jobs, then really alot of things which showed the coolness of Singapore Army. They even modified a C&C Generals game to include SAF tanks like the Leopard inside!
Wore a gas mask for the first time.
Saw a taser being fired.
Fired SAR21.
Played Laser Tag with modified SAR21s firing blanks.
Did something super embarassing.
Yep, I did something super embarassing.
So, we were playing Laser Tag, with SAR21s.
Aim of the game was capture the flag, and we were issued combat helmets and LBV (loadbearing vests) as well as arm and kneepads.
There were sensors mounted onto the helmets and vests, and then the SAR21 we were give contained 50 blank rounds, and modified to also send laser signals when fired. So our sensors will sound different sounds depending on how seriouly we are hit, and if the enemy shot was a near miss.
Quite fun.
So after queueing for like 1hr...
The buzzer sounded! Padded in full protective gear and carrying the heavy gun, I charged to the first sign of cover, a white plastic booth, but for all purposes in the game it was as good a protection as a concrete wall. Quick-aiming my various targets...
A tap on my shoulder.
"Urm, you're shot?" The instructor offered helpfully.
"Oh. Damn."
Undaunted, i went back to respawn, and when i "recovered" I immediately sprinted back to my previous cover, adding some well-thought out zigzag movement patterns and dropping to a kneeling positing with no regard to my white pants. This time, my reflexes were fast, my trigger was quick, and i managed to fire 2 -round bursts at three targets, feeling the kick of the rifle, the jerk of the scope against my forehead, the trickle of blood down my nose.
Wait, what?
The instructor tapped me again. I lowered my rifle to look at him.
Eh, why is the scope, like.. red?
"Urm.. you need help?"
I stared at my hand. My fingers was bloody where I wiped my forehead just now.
"Ah, shitz."
So apparently i've been firing the gun, and the recoil has been slamming the scope repeatedly into my forehead without me feeling it too much. I was whisked off the battlefield, past the superlong crowds who gave a collective gasp (Haha i probably freaked them out, staggering out of the play area with a bloody face and urm bad hair)
And then i sat in a golf cart which sent me to the medical bay.
The golf cart HAD to cross all the busiest areas in the Army Open House of course, so everyone could say hi and ask me what happened.
------------------
Seriously, NSmen are not sympathetic. I mean, it happens to everyone right! Everyone in some point of their life never noticed a metal cylinder slamming into their foreheads.
Well actually I was the first during the Open House, but meh.

After the blood was cleaned surprise surprise! It's just a small cut that makes me look like 二郎神。
----------------
And yes, the reason why this post's so long is to discourage everyone from reading till the embarassing part. (:
oh ya oh ya i bought a bag! Yay. Finally, seeing that the only bag i bought in the last 5 years is a $6 fake adiddas.

Oh, and i'm supersupersuper glad about tomorrow. (:
