Hello everyone! just a short post today before I prepare myself to get killed by the CCT and homework due tomorrow.

This post will not be about how I got owned by Angie (or her pear) in MSN.
But tell me your number again larh you! I don't wanna go thru the "initiation rites" again. Rargh.

for everyone staring blankly at the above, it's an inside joke so relax.

Ok. What happened today?
Basically, I realised that my phone had an available firmware upgrade! So being quite attentive to my nice phone I dutifully backed up all the pics and music and videos and procceded to update. Then....

*bish* (falls to the floor) I forgot to back up my messages or contacts!

so now for those that I've got numbers from AFTER my phone changed... I'll need to ask you again.

Hmm.

Oh right. I went to swim on Sat, the first time in a loonnngg time that I did. I swam dunno how many laps for 1.5hrs straight, then when I went back home I realised I had a totally stupid tan. You can clearly see a patch of pale skin exactly the shape of my trunks... and the contrast was chao big.

I think if I mooned you you'll think "Why is a mat wearing beige underwear shaking his ass at me?"

Ok. Then for church, I wore the set of clothes that I would have worn to DF if I had tickets. Quite poser lah, and got my christmas present bling too. So cool! (: But the only place I ended up wearing it too was church and Toa Payoh NTUC....

Daniel came! I haven't seen him in a long time and his hair was longer. =D

He read this blog before, and I feel kinda akward that he read it. Especially certain posts. If he did though, he didn't mention.

And he made me feel like going off to work at the end of this year. Sales too, probably.

----------------

Alright, next post will have pictures of random stuff I never bothered to post up! And a thought which I have been having for a long time. So stay tuned.

*Quotes explained! Read previous post*

Today, I was supposed to go Dramafest!

But. Tickets sold out.

So I went library stone for a loong while. Met Isaac, Francis, Anu, and Aqid. In more or less that order. Talked quite a lot of cock.

Then when I googled my name for fun... here's what I got.

Where sen ye oon, that he ne hath laft his leef,
Or ben unkynde, or don hire som myscheef,
Or piled hire, or bosted of his dede?
Ye may as wel it sen, as ye may rede.
Tak hede now of this grete gentil-man,
This Troyan, that so wel hire plesen can,
That feyneth hym so trewe and obeysynge,

Like wtf. It's The Legend of Dido, text from Chaucer's Legend of Good Women.

Whoever, whatever the hell that is.

AND YES IT IS "DIDO". Now shut up, you pubescent homorne charged boys.

Yaknow, you guys are right. My name is more Korean than English. I turned up a lot of Korean entries while googling.

Hmm. Today nothing much happened lah. I read some pretty cheem philo book about infinity. I was lost after the 1st chapter, but I read enough to know that using the theory of Infinity, you can prove that all numbers = 0. Cool right.
Maybe next time for maths test I can write the answers all as 0!

Yeah, right.

And Jordan was absolutely hillarious today. I will not elaborate.

Oh, and I finished watching Rolling Love!

Personally, I would have preferred Leng Lie (Danson) to get Genie. He's more steadfast after all. Jiro was portrayed by the script as a 3rd party. But anyway, it's over! Genie was cute! And that's all that matters.

Anyway, here's a short post before I go and sleep. I've been burning myself quite a lot these few days.
Quite a few people told me that I did pretty well as an emcee and for the song. Unless it was to hide the hard, brutal truth from me, thanks guys. I hope I wasn't highing on stage while the rest of the school looked at me like I was mental.

Nowadays, i'm too caught up in work to even notice anything. I go home at 6-ish, then start on my work. Sometime later my mum comes home with food, which I eat in about 5mins and rushe back to the computer room.

Yesterday, I didn't even realise my whole family had came home until 11pm (I had dinner after that) , and that's saying something because the computer room is beside the main door. I'm sure I didn't notice the main gate opening and someone greeting me 4 times, 2m away from me in the whole night. I must have been either highing on Oxygen of Happiness or being ultra focused.

I need a rest. A couple hours sleep should do, then I'll be back to work on the stupid RE projects and YingDeTianKongs.

So, just a brief update on whateve's been happening.

Our class is attached to 5 korean visitors, 3 guys and 2 girls. I shall stay away from sensitive topics and only mention that I buddied one of them, and it's fun to teach the guys how to moonwalk. XD.

I was quite surprised at something someone told me today. I'm kinda happy about it, but I wonder if I had misunderstood the meaning. Ooh, mysterious huh.

Hmm. There's DramaFeste (or was it dramafest) tomorrow! I'm hoping to get tickets for the evening show. Gonna show up in something poser, probably. =)

I'm going for the RV concert too. Anyone interested in going with me? Ask any random RV member for tickets! (16 bucks omgosh.)

I decided not to go for the Bay Run, because I can run that myself without paying 2 bucks. I just need disipline to drag myself to run. Shouldn't be that hard seeing that I'm in NPCC right?

-Gonna take a nap, byes.

My next post will be a compilation of all the inspirational explanations and philosopical suff I've typed in the previous posts.

I'm strangely hooked on the "Ze Xue Jia" song. "Philosopher" by Fan Wei Qi.

digital fortress. Not about the book, but i think that's how you spell it anyway.

First.

OMG OMG OMG OMG WTPONG! ITS OVER!

Lol, I just like taking other people's phrases.

Anyway, surprisingly Racial Harmony Day was fun!

For those who either don't come from RI or have a tradition of sleeping through every year's celebrations, I was the emcee and singer of that guailan MRT song! And now the other song, "Everything", is stuck in my head.

I was really really nervous at the start, but because Kok Peng screwed up more than me I started to relax. (Heh, i'm optimistic that way.)

So during the quiz, I started getting quite high, calling random register numbers out and using a whole load of slang, which will probably get me in trouble with all the teachers for using slang in such a formal occasion. But heck, it was fun!

Then the actual finale for me was the song! I was already quite high by then so I just took it as it went. Well, it turned out ok, but I was too high to watch my singing and so it was a bit screwedup. BUT ANYWAY. Good job everyone who really worked hard for this! Wangpeng, Lionel, Davin, Ahman, Ted, Sean, KP.

I'll probably remember today as my one and only 演唱会 i'll ever have in my life, unless I somehow become an artiste or smth. But it's a childhood dream 'somewhat' fufilled lah, so yay! And I probably got over my stage fright for good. It's the first time I highed on stage anyway.

Then back in class, quite jack lor. The only homework I completed was my English essay on How I Made A Difference, and I'm quite proud of it. Then... English was taken over by geog wtf. Ended up not handing in any homework today. Haiyo.

Gotta catch up on all the work I conveniently forgot to do during the one week break that was supposed to be the holidays, so byebye!

but I believe that someone, somewhere, is living a little happier, is crying a little less, because of what I have done.
this isnt a proper inspirational quote you foo'. It's taken from my english essay.

rargh. My father is like chao irritating. *steam*

I happilly told him the good news that I won third prize for the RE comp and he's still talking about it now. He will probably talk about it for the next couple of months till he forgets it.

like now for instance.
"So, do you want me to cook anything for you? Bread?"
"No dad, I'll cook for myself if i'm hungry."
"Are you sure?"
"Yes."
"Are you sure it's ok with you? How can I not serve the third-prize winning singer of the whole of Singapore? Would you feel unappreciated if you had to cook lowly instant noodles for yourself?"
"Yes, I'm ok with it."
"Are you sure? You shouldn't exert yourself too much if it'll damage your singing"

YES DAMNIT BLOODY HELL I CAN COOK MY OWN NOODLES THANKYOUVERYMUCH.

And the way he says it (in chinese lah, I translated) is so sarcastic.

But on the other hand, as I've told ted the other day, I seriously cannot hate or bear a grudge against anyone for more than a day, so actually as I wrote this I already calmed down and thought about a whole assortment of reasons as to why I felt that way, what was my father's intent behind his words and how I twisted it with my own intepretation of it. I just tried to recapture the feelings I had at the exact moment of the incident.

So anyway, this is a sorta rant, but don't all kids find their parents irritating at times? So yeah.

Anyway, today was quite sian. Spent the whole day in school, except for the time I was running home, having piano, then running back to school.

Grand total of Service Day Results:
1 Dog
1 Maid
1 Proper houseowner.

Tadah!

I'm using blogger buddy for the first time, so lets see how it turns out!

And my computer's finally repaired! I celebrated by excessively watching Rolling Love and playing Fable.

Seriously, if I reccorded myself on webcam while watching Rolling Love it'll probably be my favourite video. I realised I'm DAMN BLODDY FUNNY while watching Rolling Love.

Here's a transcript of a typical Rolling Love viewing.

"Omg Genie's so cute! Warghaha! *Sounds of someone jumping repeatedly*"

So, yeah. I'll probably piss my pants laughing at myself.

Hmm. What else?

Oh right, the camp.

It was very very very slack. Sufyan don't you regret ponning now that I've said that?

Like, we did about 30? pushups for punishment. And about 50 for PT over the entire camp.

First, PT was very very very slack. Couple rounds round the area then got people panting like...cows...

next, disipline was also very very very slack. Because no punishments lor. But the instructors were quite pissed.

but overall, it was really fun. The campfire as well as the bollywood Twinkle Star...

And I downloaded "At The Beginning" because the instructors sang it!

Next up, is E-Learning Week!

I just realised how much homework I had, and how much time I wasted doing stuff like blogging and fabling and rolling-love-ing.

MONDAY WILL BE THE DAY I HUMILIATE MYSELF FOR MY ENTIRE SCHOOL LIFE!!! And I can't believe it's happening so fast.

That's about it. I forgot what photos I wanted to post up already, so nevermind.

one to five

Well. Quote-explaining time!

1: Fading Moon.

Sometime ago, I was walking to school in the morning, just like every other day. (Yes, I live REALLY close to RI)

But something, I don't know what, made me look up at the sky, which was split into two, with the sunrise beginning its slow crawl up from my right, and the moon reluctantly giving up as it retreated downwards.

Something about the moon just held my gaze. I'm normally a sunrise kind of guy but this time, something about the moon made it seem mysterious, aloof, distant, and powerful at the same time.

I caught myself thinking... "that's just a big chunk of pockmarked rock very far away" and suddenly felt guiltily void of emotion and imagination.

On one hand, we have the moon, a bringer of death, the rouser of beasts of the night, the single unblinking eye that watches us at night. The moon is spun into silver threads for dark potions, it is the stuff of legends, the soul of every haunted mansion. Fairys dance around it. Werewolves hunt in it. Elvis Presley lives on it.

Yet, as anyone who lives in this age will tell you, it's nothing more than a big chunk of rock. That's it. It's not made of cheese, it doesn't tell your future, it sadly doesn't make you turn into a fierce, strong wolf-human. Though that would be sooo cool.

So, what am I trying to say?

I guess my point is that sometimes knowledge isn't everything. Sometimes, knowing is not all about facts and figures. Imagination is but another form of knowledge, sadly frowned upon by today's scientific-orientatied society. The fading moon symbolises an era of legends and folklore slowly disappearing with the arrival of a bright, clear, sun which illuminates all and leaves nothing hidden.

Phew that was cheem.

-------------------------------------

ARGH screw it. It took forever to write the above. I'll make it simple for the rest of the quotes.

One to five.

The repairman told me that as I called the hotline. They would come within "one to five" pm. I was going to yell at them for giving such a large time frame, but then I remembered that hey, I'm not the only one with problems. Why should I be special anyway?

You want the world to revolve around you? Get in line.

five minutes

When you need to wake up for school, five minutes is a short, short time.
When you're biting back tears, holding your face to the sky, five minutes is eternity.
When you're having philo... it really depends on what the teacher teaches.

Yet, all are five minutes. We don't move slower in relation to the speed of light when you're emo, or move faster when you're sleepy. It's all in your head, and how you control your time is entirely up to you.

digital fortress.

I don't even need to talk about this. Just think about all this technological advances. You attack with words and videos and protect youself with firewalls, all in the anonymonity of a computer ID number. Are you really reaching out to others, or are you merely encasing yourself into a digital fortress?

Ah well. It's hard to squeeze these quotes outta me so I'll start posting quotes whenever I feel like it.

So. To liven up this dead blog I must first check if it's responding.
"Hello hello are you ok?"
Then, I must Look for rising of chest, Listen for breathing and Feel for air.

But obviously since my blog is now alive, there's no need for all this!

So...

Today was Mufti Day!
That's right. In Mafti Day, which happens like.. once a year I think, we get to wear home clothes to school!

And obviously I have no idea how to spell "Marfthi" so it will be in a different spelling everytime you see it in this blog.

So anyway, I wore my brown three quarts!!!

And some black collar shirt that everyone claimed was poser, except for the few who claimed it was a striptease shirt and procceded to try and yank it off me. =X

Anyway, during moofti day today, there was a REALLY wide range of fashion senses which really reminded me how diverse Rafflesians can be.

First, at the bottom of the list, are cheapskates! Rarr. Don't even embrace the occasion and still wear uniform sia. One should be creative on mharfti day! You get promoted a bit if you forgot the occasion, instead of being too sian to wear.

Second, are those slacker people who wear PE. Haiyo.

Third, are the Omgnerds =D You can identify them by the ridiculously high pants and tucked in shirts. No offence to anyone here. :)

Fourth (and finally) are the Normal People! They wear generic jeans and t-shirts. Nothing too unique there.

Fifth, and slightly up the ladder are the semi-posers! They take fashion up a notch with their very own poser ways. Their hair looks slightly different too- did they style it?

Sixth... the ultimate in poserness. I saw vests, loose ties, bling, flat caps, triple-layer clothing, etc. Sadly many of those I saw somehow didn't manage to pull the look off.

Seventh... High above high. This is the COSPLAYER. I saw one, but I have no idea if he was RI or wearing that for some RJC thing.

------------------------
Anyway, yup. As Lock Leong said sometime during the Op.Op, I very "Zi lian"

Sorry lah! XD

----------------

After mufthie day, I had reheasals for the Racial Harmony Day celebrations! If you didn't know, I'm organising it.

So, watch me sing my third prize, $100-winning song on the 21st July!

And take the MRT! Hehe.

Actually right, I'm damn bloody nervous about singing, or even emceeing. But haiyo, a man's gotta do what a man's gotta do. So, bo bian lor. Need to act confident. =X

----------------------

Oh, and tomorrow is my Survival Camp. According to Yi Jung, her area's camp seems quite slack. So.. i'm keeping my fingers crossed. But ours should be tougher ba. Our area got RI, so they probably wanna jack us. Then somemore our area got Cat High, which means that they need to up the diffculty of the camp again to actually give them some challenge.

----------------

Ok then, see ya on monday, with PICTURES! (my comp's getting repaired tomorrow)

*NEW SEGMENT*
I read Yousheng's blog, and the stuff about inspirational events were quite interesting. So, I'll be posting my own version, but with a twist!

I'll make a short phrase of a couple of words at the end of every post, without explanation. Then when I accumulated enough I'll make a post to explain about 10 at a go.

So here's the first phrase.

Fading Moon

yup, a news update on whatever's happened between my last post and now.

First, we won third for Free Media Design! Like ohmygoosepenguincowmonkey!!
Yes, I read your blog haha.

But it was really quite surprising lah, imagine me singing and getting 3rd prize for it...
But maybe it was the lyrics and the 19-page score by Davin that clinched it, so yeah great job my RE group!

Then...

My nails were painted bright red. So cool right? Hahaha.
My main computer is SILL spoilt so I'll post pics of it later.

I won't do the guy-bimbo thing again so relax.
-------

Today I went to the Nanyang Monopoly game...
I originally thought the concept was quite lame... but it turned out to be fun!

Then my I/C was Yi Jung, who turned out to be You Sheng's and Marcus's ex classmate! Quite a coincidence haha. Anyway, about that we won first! Literally off the charts.. they had to tack another peice of cardboard to the scoreboard to put our placings.

But imagine making the speech at the podium... some paiseh sia.
"Just last Saturday RINPCC sent in a team of 4 to participate in Nanyang Girl's High's Operation Opulence, a game similar to Monopoly, but played on a life-sized area where our primary goal was to run round the quadrangle to do tasks and earn money. So after a gruelling 2 hours of running around the quadrangle RI facing stiff opposition finally emerged as victorious, leading the 2nd place Hua Chong by 40,000 due to a timely save by the stock price of Dowel Poles."

THAT SOUNDS SO RETARDED.

So anyway I went home, met Kai Wen on the bus, then got drenched on my way home from the bus stop, because of the FRIGGING CARS THAT SPLASH A LOT OF WATER ON ME! In the end, the underside of the umbrella was just about as wet as the top of it because of all the (4 or so) cars that just drive by, splash water, completely soak me and roar off laughing.

The umbrella was pretty useless. It probably saved my phone though, since it didn't get spoilt.

Then I had half an hour at home before I went for the CPR thing. Why then did I go home? because.... eddy told me on my way home that it started at 2, when I thought it started at 3.30.

So, anyway I went, ate subway, walked arnd aimlessly for a while, then...I went home.

Sigh. I was supposed to go to my grandma's house straight after the CPR thing but it was cancelled to I just went home. I got a goodie bag for my time, so I'm not complaining.

And that's a newsupdate!

Pictures next time!
