I'm really happy for someone today.
I won't say who, but I think you may know him very well!

Ok and I've been trying to do work all weekend. Problem is, when faced with a 4hr video marathon of sleep-inducing Social Studies videos, even that crappy Cool Ball game on my vintage Gameboy Color looked really interesting.

No surprise then that I spent Saturday afternoon exploring the finer points of Battlefield 2142 Demo version. Sadly, EA has made it so that you can't just borrow someone's CD anymore.

Oh, and I also spent some time playing around with the Windows Sidebar in Vista, something that I didn't really bother with after I figured out how to disable it. I found out that the Sidebar is really darn helpful. No offence to the Vista-haters, but this feature's really quite good.

Check out a screenshot of my desktop to see how cool it looks!

Note, that the dumb-looking guy on the top right is Ethan, from Ctrl-Alt-Del, a nice online comic. It's part of the sidebar too, only that all sidebar items can be dragged out onto the main desktop, which I did. That particular gadget alerts me on all the latest comics.

Then there's the normal pc-performance stuff, a volume control with mixer, a easier shut-down control system, and a pretty nice media player gadget that lets you see the currently playing song and lets you switch songs from the desktop.

Quite cool, albeit a bit more skewed towards novelty rather than usefulness.

Yesterday I read a blog by addme. (Name has been changed a bit for privacy and for my safety as well)
This person was the second party in a insult war between two people, and basically they spent their whole blogs showing off masterful english, not swearing once at all, giving cool, logical, sometimes sarcastic remarks about each other's previous post in an attempt to out-language the other party.

But I still say it's an insult war. I don't really see the need of blogs like this. Please, write something better. It's a public blog- no one really wants to see two old friends fall out over a war of words.

But of course, some people can REALLY piss you off. I admit that.
I guess, like those food pyramid things, moderation is the key.

As Harold took a bite of Bavarian sugar cookie, he finally felt as if everything was going to be ok. Sometimes, when we lose ourselves in fear and despair, in routine and constancy, in hopelessness and tragedy, we can thank God for Bavarian sugar cookies. And, fortunately, when there aren't any cookies, we can still find reassurance in a familiar hand on our skin, or a kind and loving gesture, or subtle encouragement, or a loving embrace, or an offer of comfort, not to mention hospital gurneys and nose plugs, an uneaten Danish, soft-spoken secrets, and Fender Stratocasters, and maybe the occasional piece of fiction. And we must remember that all these things, the nuances, the anomalies, the subtleties, which we assume only accessorize our days, are effective for a much larger and nobler cause. They are here to save our lives. I know the idea seems strange, but I also know that it just so happens to be true.

I'm gonna find it somehow, though it's a movie if I'm not wrong. It sounds nice and cheem and full of lit-ness, right?

Hmm, quite a weid blogpost. Nothing seems to be connected, doesn't it?

Or... is it? *Evil laugh*
