I'm really happy for someone today.
I won't say who, but I think you may know him very well!

Ok and I've been trying to do work all weekend. Problem is, when faced with a 4hr video marathon of sleep-inducing Social Studies videos, even that crappy Cool Ball game on my vintage Gameboy Color looked really interesting.

No surprise then that I spent Saturday afternoon exploring the finer points of Battlefield 2142 Demo version. Sadly, EA has made it so that you can't just borrow someone's CD anymore.

Oh, and I also spent some time playing around with the Windows Sidebar in Vista, something that I didn't really bother with after I figured out how to disable it. I found out that the Sidebar is really darn helpful. No offence to the Vista-haters, but this feature's really quite good.

Check out a screenshot of my desktop to see how cool it looks!

Note, that the dumb-looking guy on the top right is Ethan, from Ctrl-Alt-Del, a nice online comic. It's part of the sidebar too, only that all sidebar items can be dragged out onto the main desktop, which I did. That particular gadget alerts me on all the latest comics.

Then there's the normal pc-performance stuff, a volume control with mixer, a easier shut-down control system, and a pretty nice media player gadget that lets you see the currently playing song and lets you switch songs from the desktop.

Quite cool, albeit a bit more skewed towards novelty rather than usefulness.

Yesterday I read a blog by addme. (Name has been changed a bit for privacy and for my safety as well)
This person was the second party in a insult war between two people, and basically they spent their whole blogs showing off masterful english, not swearing once at all, giving cool, logical, sometimes sarcastic remarks about each other's previous post in an attempt to out-language the other party.

But I still say it's an insult war. I don't really see the need of blogs like this. Please, write something better. It's a public blog- no one really wants to see two old friends fall out over a war of words.

But of course, some people can REALLY piss you off. I admit that.
I guess, like those food pyramid things, moderation is the key.

As Harold took a bite of Bavarian sugar cookie, he finally felt as if everything was going to be ok. Sometimes, when we lose ourselves in fear and despair, in routine and constancy, in hopelessness and tragedy, we can thank God for Bavarian sugar cookies. And, fortunately, when there aren't any cookies, we can still find reassurance in a familiar hand on our skin, or a kind and loving gesture, or subtle encouragement, or a loving embrace, or an offer of comfort, not to mention hospital gurneys and nose plugs, an uneaten Danish, soft-spoken secrets, and Fender Stratocasters, and maybe the occasional piece of fiction. And we must remember that all these things, the nuances, the anomalies, the subtleties, which we assume only accessorize our days, are effective for a much larger and nobler cause. They are here to save our lives. I know the idea seems strange, but I also know that it just so happens to be true.

-Stranger than Fiction --- Kay Eiffel

I'm gonna find it somehow, though it's a movie if I'm not wrong. It sounds nice and cheem and full of lit-ness, right?

Hmm, quite a weid blogpost. Nothing seems to be connected, doesn't it?

Or... is it? *Evil laugh*

Hey cool I started this post at 1.23am.

Elearning was FUN!

Well, the first two days anyway. The third day... argh. I won't talk about the last day (today) because, well everyone's probably going to blog about it already anyway.

So anyway, on the first day, Monday! It wasn't E-Learning, but close to it. It was sports day, and while the entire school sat on the stadium steps and listened to mp3, I stood in full npcc uniform and listened to mp3. It was only after the whole thing that I realised that I was the only one who actually stood in senandiri or however you spell that.

Hmm, I went home and basically fell asleep. Don't know why, I was just bloody tired. Went home, slacked for a while, and woke up on my bed at 7 the next morning, still in my house shirt. I probably slept for more than 12 hours. Good thing I didn't go for any event, or my shirt would have been quite gross.

Ok then second day, Tuesday! I did absolutely nothing!

Third day, Weds! I realised how I haven't trained in a long time, so I had some sets session.

It was quite easy in theory, just
5 pushups,
2 commando
2 hand-on-hand pushups,
10x leg lift
10c crunches
Some weights,
4 chin-ups,
10 squats holding 2x5kg weights,
5 ranger jumps with the weights,
Skipwith a skipping rope for 50 times

For five sets. It was supposed to be quite easy, but I don't know why I dieded for the commando pushups and ab exercices at the 4th set already. But nevertheless, I pushed on =)

Then the last part, I decided to be extra. I turned on chapter 9 of Romantic Princess (The funniest part in the show IMO) and had a go with the skipping rope.

I estimate I did about 400 at a go then... crazy lor. Normally I can do 150 before getting tired, but this time I could barely walk when I finished, hence the estimate of 400. I sat on the floor for the next ten minutes haha.

Now my legs hurt.

Anyway, nite! Good luck to those that didn't finish their homework! (Like me!)

Oh, and happy birthday Anu! (Abit late, but meh.)

I'm back after a seista from blogging!

So here's a news update on what's been going on.

First, I was absent from school the first time in... what? Five years?

*claps*

Anyway, I broke my longest not-sick streak ever and didn't come to school on Monday, the day after the March holidays. I went for npcc though, because there was some archery course and I was so not going to waste like 12 bucks by not going.

Quite fun, the archery course. I found out that I kinda suck at archery, or rather I'm average at it. I always thought I would pwn at archey for some reason. Maybe it's due to any random MMORPG that I've played with archers inside.

Then, the next thing that happened that was interesting was running in the rain again!
This time, in my nice jeans, my nice shoes, my hoodie + new shirt my phone and mp3 in my pockets, my camera in my bag, and Eddy holding my umbrella so high it sheltered about half my right shoulder and nothing else. Sorry lah.. I'm short...

Anyway, we were on Shears bridge when it started raining like some bomb. and he didn't bring an umbrella. Smart. But since he was wearing white (and also maybe because he's a rugby player 1 head taller than me) I let him take the umbrella.

I then took the taxi home because the thought of walking to the mrt, across dunno how many blocks of nice unsheltered space scared me. I was wringing out my hoodie while at the taxi stand, chatting with foreign tourists. Quite interesting lah, getting to know what ang mohs think about Singapore XD. Then I went into the taxi after an about 30min wait, then tried to call my parents to let them know I'll be going to SAJC straight, because we had church there almost immediately later.

Then I found out my phone was screwed! MAYBE it was because I ran in some crazy-ass rain for 5+ minutes with it in my pocket. So, I borrowed the taxi driver's phone (Thanks uncle!) and called my parents, who immediately told me to go home instead. Quite paiseh though, because I ended up wetting his whole backseat, though I was trying not to touch the seats by doing phantom chair the whole 20-minute ride. It cost 12 bucks... the price of the archery course!

I went home, changed, ate a pack of chicken rice in about 50seconds (Probably breaking a world record) and went off to church, where we had a pretty nice healing rally. A lot of people got healed of their various stuff.

Then next day left house at 6.30am, to go to church for easter sunday! I was helping with the ppt presentation for the combined english and chinese congregation, and so I was sitting in front with all the pastors behind me. Before service started, I was playing cube and some Canadian pastor behind me was talking to me about cubing strategies lol. Suddenly everyone knows how to cube...

And now that my phone is spoilt, I GOT A SPANKING COOL NEW COOL PHONE!!!
It's a omgosh nice nokia 6500. Well, I think that every phone's nice after my old antique which didn't even have bluetooth, had an infrared that didn't work, and would auto shut-off if you shook it a bit too hard.

So excuse me while I go somewhere to high.

Hey guys, I'm back! I haven't blogged in quite some time.

So, what happened during the hols’ and stuff? Meh, nothing much. I had camp from Weds to Friday morning, and it was like superduper fun. But I fell sick running in the rain on the first day… and no I’m not emo or anything, running in the rain.
So anyway I came back from camp with my throat pretty much fried, my nose like some leaky tap, and an annoying headache.

But I sat down and spammed Romantic Princess, because my sister borrowed the DVD from her friend.
And omGongMoLi is so chio!!!

*Cough*
Ahem… sorry. FYI, Gong Mo Li is played by Genie Zhuo. Of course, the acting wasn’t breathtaking, but her looks make up for it XD.
Yes, I’m a hormonally charged boy. So sue me.

Hmm. Anyway, I didn’t manage to recover by Monday, surprisingly. My mother let me stay at home!
I played some dota haha, but mugged MOST of the day. After that I went to school for NPCC, because I felt better by then. And not to mention that it was the archery course, with every lesson worth like $12. So die die also must go… money leh! =)

I don’t really feel like blogging about the camp, because I’m not that bored yet. So let’s talk about my mp3!

I’m planning to get a nice new mp3 and earphones! My total budget is about 200-250 only though, so my choices are rather limited. I’m pretty interested in either Creative or Samsung, or even the Sony mp3. I can’t really decide though. As for earphones, I’m hoping for Razer, but it’ll probably end up with me and Jordan confusing each other.
Anyway, it’ll be a LONG time before I manage to save up, so I’ll have plenty of time to decide.

I realised I haven't blogged in some time, so here's a lineup of stuff, in cronological order.

We went to Labrador Coast! It was supposed to be a geog trip, but ended up becoming a bio lesson on the talamitas or smth in the coast. Quite fun. Oh wait. VERY FUN.

Like horfun whoo!

Here's a quote by me, koped from Jordan's blog.

"A clinometer, do we use it in clinics?"

Ok then after that the next nice thing was Lan on the last day of sch! Basically, I rushed home to change and went to paradiz to lan with 2M07, who started about 10 minutes before I reached there. I was surprised I remembered the road from Dobby Gauht (Or however you spell it) to Paradiz.
So anyway, we played dota, more dota, and about 5 minutes of CS for me. Dota for me was quite meh.. I kept on getting owned. For the last dota game though I was like third last, which is a major acheivement. And that even excludes Chia, who dced at the start, then played NFSC (Need for speed carbon) for most of the time there. Quite sad.
The lan session ended on quite a high note for me, as I ended up with the last game killing practically the whole enemy team by myself. Then I went to eat macs (Good thing some person at the MRT was giving out macs coupons XD)

And then today was church! I spent the whole sermon trying to get my phone's infraed reception to work, playing Bounce, and sleeping. I feel so guilty.
Evan came to COR today, for some reason. Quite sad, didn't really get to talk to her. Frankly, given the oppourtunity I probably wouldn't have anyway. If you knew me both in church and school, I'll have looked like two entirely different people. In school I can just randomly talk to people while walking past them, but in church I've known the same people for years and yet still don't know what to talk to them, for some reason.
But yet, I'm quite alive in msn while talking to them.
Ah well.

The holidays have started! It'll be one week before I see all the "regulars" in my lift every morning or when I come back.

1: The mat in the 24th floor.
2: The army guy in the 16th floor.
3: The hospice nurse in the 14th floor.
4: That St. Margs girl and/or her mother on the 8th floor. She's probably in poly now, because I don't see her anymore.
5: That chio girl on the 22nd floor. Same, havn't seen her in quite some time.
6: The aunties that live on the 2/4/6 floors.
---------
Oh and I noticed something! Check out Fuggle's picture on his blog.
And then my soft toy at home.

Notice something familar?

AHA but MY soft toy has SHADES!

And much cuter too, so there. I bought it for my sis when I was at Batam last year, but she didn't appreciate it and returned it to me. Hrmph.
Byes for now. Happy hols!

Just like Chuck Norris in Uncyclopedia, I don't sleep. I wait.

That will apply for today, at least.
Of course, I have SS to do, which will probably take 3-4 hours before I finish. Then of course there's Geofile stuff, which will take another hour or so. After that, there's filing of Geog, which will take about 3 hours due to the sorry state I've let my table detoriate to. Thus, I conclude that I will sleep at 3, seeing that I still have to bathe, cook and eat dinner. Just a tad worse from sleeping at 2, like I did yesterday.

So why the hell do I sound so bloody calm?

I guess, it's my inbuilt anti stress mechanism which some people seem to lack. When faced with some chaomugger stuff such as now, many people tend to pon CCA, rush home, don't even bathe, eat dinner at the computer, and rush rush rush from maybe 6 to 12 where they can sleep at a normal time.

But for me, when faced with these kinds of problems I tend to NOT rush. I went to the library today with the intention to pon NPCC to do SS. But since the library closed at 5, I went to training after that, and reached home at 6.30. I slacked around for a while, prepared my mugging materials, and now it's 7. Then I'll eat dinner and mug till 3.

So, you may ask. Why am I even blogging, and how is sleeping at 3 anti-stress?

Well, because I mentally prepare myself for mugging, and make things as comfortable as they can be. I don't chiong, instead plod through the work step by step. Chionging projects have always netted me near fails so I'm not doing that this year. Remember, there's a fine line between "pulling an all-nighter" and "chionging". Anyway, I won't feel any mental drain tomorrow, but I may be a bit more hyper due to lack of sleep.

Still, I'll be daoing most people on msn, except maybe those that can provide more encouragement. At times like this, I wish I had a crush so I will feel *inspired* to mug.

To @wl: And shut up about Ada Tay, she's my frigging piano teacher. =D

--------------
And some other stuff before I go for dinner.

AHHHH!!!!! FAILED MY CLASSIFICATION SHOOT!!!

In physics, I had what is commonly called a precise, but inaccurate score. My bullets were grouped pretty closely together, but all on the lower-right side of the paper.
That's what you get for forgetting to bring specs and closing your master eye. But a bad workman always blames his tools, so I shall not blame all this. Instead, I should take it as a lesson learnt.

Which reminds me of something I said to Chen Wei after the shoot.

"Hmm. I shouldn't be blaming all this stuff. Instead I should focus on what went wrong- my lack of skill."

*Silence*

"Damn! I suck."

--------------
And in happier news

MY ENGLISH CCT OWNZORS!

I got back my English CCT today, and well... haha.

*Suansuansuan*

I wouldn't have expected that writing about my phobia of a toilet ( ITS FICTIONAL) would score 18-20/20. I don't know how much I got, because my teacher just ticked both 9-10 mark rubrics boxes.

Good luck to those people who haven't got theirs back yet!

-------------------

Ok now time for dinner! Byes till the next time I post. Like.. duh.

6:46 PM

Monday, March 3, 2008
Anyway, today I had my piano exam! I hope I haven't failed and stuff, but it's pretty likely. The examiner sounded quite pissed when I kept screwing up my scales.

How, you may ask, does someone get to some tiny music centre in the middle of some unknown block in the middle of Chua Chu Kang? A street directory, my father, and quite a few wrong turns. Good thing we left the house quite early, or we would have been late.

After exam, I ate lunch at some random food court near the music centre. I bought this thing called Pepper Rice set! It was damn own... they give you a butter-filled lump of fried rice, a ring of raw beef around it, and a free flow of 3 sauces, teriyaki, honey soya sauce and garlic soya sauce. All on a hotplate. Your job is just to mix the rice and cook the beef and add the sauce you want to the beef. Damn bloody shiok I tell you.

Then, I took the mrt back. Quite fun, as I was like practically the only kid on the train. But some schools had dismissed by the time I started taking the train back so after a while I started seeing groups of teens that were indirectly suanning me for forgetting to bring my mp3.

Then after that I kena suanned by God... (No offence God xP) Becoz the moment I went out of the shelter to walk to school, bam it started raining. My puny umbrella was no match for the friggin rain and it ended up with my bag and my shoes wet. Not moist-wet, but "water-sloshing-in-the-bottom" wet.
And to top it off, the moment I stepped into the safety of the Raja Block the rain miraculously slowed to a slight drizzle. Haiz.

I managed to reach school in time to catch the last 5 minutes of geog. Then it was off to npcc where we had a wonderful gym session! I just love RI's gym.

Hmm. I was wondering today about teenagers. Am I the only one who isn't emo? I feel that one's teenage years are the best of his life, so why waste it emoing?

Or of course, most people create blogs to emo so maybe I'm one of the minority who creates a blog that is so balantly random and not filled with stuff like "Sometimes I wish I could just end it all".

Andd, that's about it for today. Byes to mug chem!
