Some bomb lah.
Yesterday, due to some miscommunication between my parents, we ended up buying a lot of food for dinner. Here's how it happened.
First, yesterday night my father called me to say that he was in Balestier (however you spell it) and there was a new roasted duck stall. So he wanted to try it and told me to cook some white rice to eat with the duck later. I told him that normally my mum would have bought dinner by now so I should call her to check first.
Here's the phone convos.
Me and mum:
"Ya so dad wants to buy roast duck. Have you bought dinner yet?"
"I just bought fried rice and hong kong noodles, but it may not be enough. Tell your dad to go ahead and buy."
"Okie"
Me and dad
"Ok you can buy the duck."
"Ok."
Notice that our phone conversations are very short. Anyway, so when they came home I found out that my father bought a WHOLE duck plus rice. And I cooked rice already. And then we were too full for the stuff my mother bought home.
Did you know that fried rice tastes better with a few days old rice compared to using freshly cooked rice? So I just ate a nice dinner like that one I cooked last time. (Refer to archives for details.) This time though I didn't have chicken so I substitute by defrosting and chopping up a codfish. The dinner wasn't as good as last time's but it's still quite nice.
In other news I became Geog Rep through some strange turn of events. Now I need to settle some outing stuff... quite sian.
After geog was Bio. Nothing much happened, but I found out that Dexter was some pro at drawing. I'll start practicing soon.
After that, RE. I slept thru most of it.
Then NPCC! Muster (or Master?) parade. I got my ranks! And a couple of badges too. Now my uniform is heavier!
