It's my 60th post. You should note that. It'll be VERY important later on.
Anyway, today was the campcraft training thingiy AGAIN. The campcraft team wouldn't get to use the gym until after the competition, and I'm pissed. The funny thing though was that the Scouts changed roles with us... this time we were campcrafting and they were doing drills.
So anyway, I'm starting to develop blisters and rope burns from trying to hit 1 minute for a round lashing. I'm not up to standard yet... the other members are pretty fast. Also, Mrs David mentioned the idea of extracurricular courses in NPCC. (That's like CCA in a CCA right?) Basically they could organise martial arts courses or stuff. I'm quite interested in the idea, actually. I'm hoping to learn some basic knowledge in martial arts.
When I got home, I tur- SWITCHED on the TV just in time to see an advertisement for a movie, "The Mist." It's based on a damn nice Stephen King story, and I hope that it's not too violent for me to watch. Basically the story is about how some unknown cause (hinted to be a military research facility) created a type of gateway into another world, and that gateway is a huge, expanding mist. Monsters of all types and species come out of the mist, and they start to take over the earth. From giant stuff to tentacled monsters to acid-web spiders to freaky flying bugs, the descriptions are pretty cool. The story ends with the narrator leaving the story behind as a record of his experience while he tries to drive his way out. I hope the movie is good, to do justice to the novel. And I think that I've blogged about this before.
In other news, my class is cold. Like reaallly cold. Half our class goes outside between lessons to warm up.
And... I think I'll spend tomorrow lazing in the library. I'm bored.
