Yeah, so yesterday morning I came home from the sec 1 and sec 2 npcc camp. Frankly, the camp was quite tough because 1: I didn't really train during the hols and 2: It was tough.
Ok. First day. We reported at 7.15 at the Raja block and did the usual pack/unpack your bags in 30 seconds crap. Then we went over to the design centre, where we pitched our tents and played some icebreakers to know the juniors. It was quite screwedup because no one in our group knew how to tie any of the knots. In the end the other groups had to help us. Then we did some PT, basically some pushups onli la. Then the two pairs of groups were given 50$ and told to buy rations for the rest of the camp. That's 4 meals for 13 people which is 52 people. Hmm... so we played around in J8 for a while, and then with bags of noodles and canned food we headed back to RI for lunch. Quite nice la, because I chose the noodles. XD Then after that we had station games. Quite screwed up because we ended up playing handball and soccer for close to 4 hours. I think. After that, we did something (I forgot liao) until 6 or so then we ate dinner and went for some more games. The first day was pretty fun. Oh yeah... then the Sec 3s brought us on a night walk and told us ghost stories. Quite a lot of people were freaked out. I was too, but I forgot all the stories by the next morning.
Aha! Next morning was the more interesting one. I talked cock to Moses and some other guys in the morning, suanned each other and then went back down to the JB to fall in. It was Hiking Time!
The NCOs gave us some bread and jam to eat for breakfast. We spammed it and even brought it along the hike. No one ate it, though. That poor sec 1 had to carry it the whole way. Well at least I and Manfred helped him carry his bottle.
Anyway, the hike started at 7, then we walked until 11, the had lunch, then walked until 2, then took a bus back XD. I guess the Sec 3s that were with us too sian liao. So, we arrived about 2 hours earlier than the other group. If we had walked we would probably arrive an hour earlier of the other group instead. The hike would have been OK if the bloody Sec 1s didn't walk so slowly. It was a frigging stroll. But still I couldn't sprint up any more than two flights of stairs after the hike. So we slacked around and unpitched our tents and stuff until they came back. Hmm. Then it was HELL HOUR!!! BWAHAHAHAHA! All the Sec 1s didn't know what was hell hour. Basically it's hell for an hour. Pump in mud, roll in mud, pump some more in mud, etc. Last year's hell hour was worse though, and involved raw eggs and flour. This year's was quite fun. Everyone was laughing when we were doing drills barefoot in the mud.
"Kekanan pusing!" "Turn-check!" *splat* *giggles*
And the NCOs were kind enough to wash us off with a hose before we went for a bath. It was cold, though.
Then it was the campfire! Quite boring because it was just a bunch of lightsticks in the middle of the Junior Block. I was one of the Cheer squad and my voice was hoarse liao. It still is. I kept on laughing whenever my voice went off. The skits from the other groups were quite screwed up but IMO our skit was quite good. Well, relatively, at least. After that, we went to watch the first hour of The Grudge to freak us out even more for our solo night. A solo night is where we all sleep in different places, hence "solo". For The Grudge, I was quite freaked out at first, but I found out that if you halved the volume by covering your ears it's not scary. I fell asleep half an hour into the show. The only thing I remember is that pervert ghost in that Jap girl's hotel room. =D
Solo night was quite Ok. I slept as much as the first day. What really pissed me off was the fucking (*gasp*) fire drill which had us in pushup position for about half an hour in total (I think), because the seniors took a couple of Sec 1s away and hid them before the drill so that we couldn't find them. And the Sec 1s didn't have the sense to tell any of us before they were whisked away. And now we owe the seniors 200 pushups to be repaid next training, on top of the pushups that we normally do.
Hmm. That's about all for the camp. I decided not to camwhore with the present too.
